Browser Compatibility

What do we mean by browser compatibility? Well, There are at least four main browsers being used regularly on the internet (and hundreds of lesser known browsers). As the new versions become adopted, their older counterparts lose popularity. Because of these developments, support for older browsers decreases over time. Eventually a company stops supporting them all together (as they concentrate on their latest browser technology).

An example of this is Netscape 4.7 (a.k.a. Netscape Communicator) and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4. Netscape and Microsoft have discontinued support of their respective browsers as they concentrate on the newer versions (Netscape 7 and Internet Explorer 6). This doesn't mean that you can't find help or information about these browsers any more, just that those companies have moved on to bigger and better things. Because of the new developments in the internet, it will not be possible to maintain support for older browsers such as these without the support of the companies that have developed them.

The good news is that more than 90% of internet users have current browsers. Even so, the eStatement system has been designed with compatibility in mind. Because the eStatement system is designed based on the latest web standards, we can support all of the latest web standard compatible browsers. Due to the discontinued support, and for security reasons, we ask that you please upgrade browsers if you are using Netscape Navigator 4.7 or below, or Internet Explorer 4.0 or below. Also, for Mac users, Internet Explorer 5.2 and below will not work. If you are using one of these browsers, please upgrade now. See our upgrade page for details.

Do I need some special software to view my statements?

No special programs or changes are needed to view your statements. You simply need a compatible web browser (like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator) and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed on most computers today, but if you do not have Acrobat Reader, it is a free download available from Adobe's website.

If you are unsure whether or not you have Acrobat Reader installed, click this link here. If you see a pdf file open up, then you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. If no pdf file opens, or you are prompted to download the Adobe Reader plug-in, then you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader and you must install it.

To install:
1. Download the program file from (If you have difficulty downloading, this is an alternate download link.)
2. Close your web browser.
3. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation. Follow the on-screen instrustions to install the program.
